A year ago, LeadPages™ was less than half the size it is today. We had less than 15,000 customers, and our entire company could still meet around one table. Fast forward 12 months and things look a little different. Not only have we more than doubled our customer base to 30,000+, we also more than tripled the size of our company, going from ~30 employees to 90+ now. In fact, this December we officially moved our company headquarters from a coworking space to a completely remodeled, 17,000 square foot office in downtown Minneapolis. ...and to play, of course.[/caption] We don’t mention these things to toot our own horn. We mention them for one reason — to let you know that we’re just getting started. In 2015, we plan on bringing you even more than we did in 2014. That means:

  • More first-of-their-kind features and tools for rapidly growing your business
  • More first-class training webinars, workshops, and courses
  • More expansions to our amazing team (maybe you’re one of them?)

To give you an idea of where we’re going, let’s take a look back at where we’ve been. Below, you’ll find a complete list of everything we released in 2014. And at the end of this post, you just might find a few hints at what’s coming up in the next few months.

January: LeadLinks™ and One-Click Facebook Registration

In January, we introduced you to two tools that took the power of a single click to new heights.

1. LeadLinks™

You discovered the “zero step opt-in” with the launch of LeadLinks™, a tool that allows subscribers to join your email list, sublist, or register for a webinar with a single click.

2. One-Click Facebook Registration

If your audience is active on Facebook, letting them opt-in to your email list (or register for a webinar) got easier than ever with one-click Facebook registration. With this option enabled, visitors who are logged into Facebook can opt-in with a single click. [caption id="" align="alignnone" width="758"]

February: LeadBoxes® Split Testing and Automatic Pre-Population

February brought the addition of two features that took LeadBoxes® to new heights.

1. Automatic Pre-Population

What if your visitors didn’t have to take the time to fill in details like their name and email address on your opt-in forms? Automatic pre-population made that a reality. Now, if your visitors have opted in on any landing page or LeadBox™ created by one of our 30,000+ users, any of the details they previously filled out will automatically pre-populate when they click to opt-in on any of your landing pages or LeadBoxes®. [caption id="" align="alignnone" width="758"]

Since I’ve previously opted in on other LeadPages™ users’ landing pages and LeadBoxes®, my information is generated automatically on this LeadBox™ from Chris Luck.[/caption]

2. LeadBoxes® Split-Testing

To allow you to get the very best conversion rates out of your LeadBoxes®, we gave you the ability to quickly run split tests on them. Since then, our users have been split testing everything from button copy and headlines to images, borders, background colors, form field amounts, and more. Split testing your LeadBoxes® is one of the quickest and easiest ways to quickly boost your conversion rates.

March: ConversionCast Launch

At the beginning of the year, we noticed something — while there are many fantastic marketing podcasts, very few of them actually share specific marketing results. That’s why we set out to create a podcast that would feature real-life case studies and results on every single episode. Thus, ConversionCast was born. 64 episodes later, host Tim Paige has brought you incredible case studies every week from companies like KISSMetrics, Buffer, AWeber, and more. If you enjoy learning about real, actionable results, you should check ConversionCast out now.

April: First Marketplace Template Released

A dream was born in April. We wanted to empower designers, developers, and marketers to put their most successful landing page templates at your fingertips. To do that, we began working on a first-of-its-kind template marketplace — an ecosystem where people could buy and sell their own custom LeadPages™ templates, as well as sort them by average conversion rate. We announced our plans for this marketplace by offering you a taste of what was to come in the form of these three templates:

Since this humble release of the first few Marketplace templates, independent designers, developers, and marketers have added over 80 more. See for yourself here.

May: Advanced Launch

In May, we rolled out our highest membership level yet: Advanced. At the time of the launch, the Advanced level introduced two high-value, human elements to your LeadPages™ membership:

  • The Implementation Coaching Program: We created a weekly coaching call where members from the LeadPages™ marketing team answer your questions and guide your marketing strategy live.
  • Live Phone Support: We expanded our in-house Customer Happiness team in order to bring you the highest level of support.

As you’ll see in the second half of this post, we’ve since expanded our Advanced level to include even more exclusive features and benefits.

July: All-New Landing Page Builder + Live Chat Support

July brought what was perhaps our most extensive update to date — the release of our completely redesigned landing page builder. To top it off, we also introduced live chat support.

1. The All-New Landing Page Builder

The new builder accomplished three things right off the bat:

  • Increased Flexibility and Customization: It allows you to turn any landing page element on or off and make any text or linkable object trigger a LeadBox™.
  • Gave You an Easier Custom Templating System: The new builder made it 10 times easier to submit your own custom landing page templates.
  • Created a More Intuitive User Experience: You gained the ability to edit right on the page, access a more extensive font collection, and edit colors and styles in the easiest way possible.

The launch of this builder represented a giant leap forward for our company.

2. Live Chat Support

One of our biggest goals of 2014 was to aggressively expand our amazing Customer Happiness team so we could constantly improve the level of support we’re able to provide customers. July was a big month for that goal. We were able to add live chat support for all Pro and Advanced customers, enabling you to get your support questions answered in real time.

August: Sub-Accounts and a New LeadBoxes® Design

In August, we released a much-requested feature and gave LeadBoxes® a complete facelift.

1. Sub-Accounts

There’s nothing like releasing a feature that users have been requesting since the launch of your product. With the release of sub-accounts, we were able to do just that. If you’re a Pro or Advanced member, sub-accounts give you the ability to create multiple users within your LeadPages™ account. That way, you can give employees, clients, or team members access to their specific landing pages, LeadBoxes®, and LeadLinks™ without having to create a whole new account or give them your login information.

2. New LeadBoxes® Design

Additionally, we updated the default look and feel of LeadBoxes® in August to make them even more customizable. Not only did the update give LeadBoxes® a more modern look, it also gave you the ability to include a custom header image (or use a default progress bar image). September: Timed and Exit Popups with LeadBoxes® + LeadPages™ Agencies

In September, we tripled the functionality of LeadBoxes® and introduced you to third-party agencies who have built entire businesses around designing custom LeadPages™ templates for you to use or sell in the Marketplace.

1. Timed and Exit LeadBoxes® Popups

With one update, your publishing options with LeadBoxes® tripled. Now, you can publish any LeadBox™ as a timed popup or exit popup. [caption id="" align="alignnone" width="758"]

2. LeadPages™ Agencies

Looking for someone who can build you a custom LeadPages™ landing page template from scratch? Check out one of the two third-party agencies we officially endorsed in September:

These agencies can build you a template from the ground up, which you can then use in your business or sell for 100% commissions in the LeadPages™ Marketplace.

October: Official Marketplace Launch + Lead Notifications

In October, the Marketplace plan we launched in April came to fruition. We officially opened the doors to our first-of-its-kind Marketplace. We also gave customers an all-new way to collect leads and an invaluable weekly free training.

1. Official Marketplace Launch

The creation of the LeadPages™ Marketplace was designed to do two things specifically:

  1. Give you the best selection of high-converting landing page templates online.
  2. Give you the opportunity to sell your own custom template designs. . . and keep 100% of the profits. That’s right — LeadPages takes NO cut of the templates you create and sell.

Since launching the Marketplace in October, top designers and marketers like Pat Flynn, Eben Pagan, Ryan Deiss, James Schramko, Jen Gordon, and more have already started selling their own custom templates. [caption id="attachment_4325" align="alignnone" width="758"]

2. Lead Notifications

Our Lead Notifications feature gives you the option to get an email whenever someone opts in on one of your landing pages or opt-in forms. The email contains all the information your new subscriber submitted on the opt-in form (such as email address, name, phone number, or any other information you required them to submit). This feature is particularly handy if your top priority is following up with new leads with something like a phone call or a custom email message.

3. LaunchPad Webinars

When we hired our Marketing Educator, Bob “The Teacher” Jenkins, one of our top priorities was creating a weekly webinar specifically designed to take LeadPages™ users on a guided tour of the product. In October, we did exactly that with the launch of our weekly “LeadPages™ LaunchPad” webinar. Bob shows users exactly how to use the most important LeadPages™ features and also answers questions live. If you’re a customer and you’d like to grab a seat on the next LaunchPad webinar, you can register via the “Support” button at the top of the page when logged into your account.

November: An All-New WordPress Plugin, the “Share Page Configuration” Feature, and the Webinar Funnel System Course

November was all about releasing features that simply made things easier for you. Our new WordPress plugin gave you increased LeadBoxes® publishing options for your WordPress websites, while our “Share Page Configuration” feature allowed you to quickly share your customized versions of landing pages with others. To top it all off, we released our most in-depth course to date. The best part? It was 100% free.

1. All-New WordPress Plugin

The new LeadPages™ WordPress plugin makes it easier than ever to quickly add timed and exit popup LeadBoxes® to your WordPress site. With just a few clicks, you can add a popup LeadBox™ across your entire blog.

2. Share Page Configuration Feature

The “share page configuration” feature quickly turned into something we find ourselves using on a daily basis at LeadPages™. It allows you to share your customized version of any landing page with other users so they can import it into their own account. [caption id="attachment_4326" align="alignnone" width="758"]

3. Webinar Funnel System Course

Want to know how we used webinars to grow LeadPages™ from zero to 30,000+ customers in under two years? The Webinar Funnel System course we released in November gives you our complete step-by-step process. The entire course is available free of charge right here.

December: Marketplace Templates Made Available Inside LeadPages™ + Template Download Megapack

December was all about increasing the amount of templates available at your fingertips, as we doubled the number of templates available inside LeadPages™ and also made the files of every template we released in 2014 available for free download.

1. Marketplace Templates Now Available Inside LeadPages™

If you’re a LeadPages™ user, sorting through Marketplace templates got even easier in December. We added the ability to view all Marketplace templates right inside the template sorter in your account, effectively doubling the amount of landing page templates available to you.

2. Free Download: Our "Best of 2014" Landing Page Templates Collection

So far we haven’t even mentioned the fact that we also built and released over 25 new landing page templates in 2014. Rather than recapping each template, we’ve decided to gather together our 24 favorites so you can download them all free of charge. To get our top 24 favorite templates of 2014, just click here

Coming Soon: More Innovations in 2015

As you read this, we’re already on the cusp of releasing two completely new features that can revolutionize your marketing efforts in 2015:

1. The LeadPages™ Template Importer

What if you had the ability to transform any web page you own into a fully functional, customizable LeadPages™ template (which you can then use or sell in the Marketplace) in a matter of minutes? That’s what our Template Importer is going to allow you to do. It makes creating a LeadPages™ template as simple as dropping in a URL and clicking a button. Sound too good to be true? Watch the video below to see it in action.

2. LeadDigits™

With the upcoming release of LeadDigits™, we’re giving you the ability to take your lead generation efforts offline. Picture this: You create a five-digit number and unique code (like “ENROLL,” for example). You can then have people text that unique code to your five-digit number via their mobile device. At that point, you can have them automatically added to an email list, registered for a webinar, and sent a lead magnet. There are tons of ways for you to use LeadDigits™ to grow your business. To see a live demo and find out how to get access to both the Template Importer and LeadDigits™, check out the video below:

Before you go, we’d love to hear if LeadPages™ had an impact on any aspect of your business in 2014. How did you use it? What results did you see? Leave a comment below and let us know!
