If you have LeadPages™, you don’t need to download this template – it’s already available to you inside your LeadPages account. Just log in and you’ll see how super easy it is to customize this page in seconds with no technical knowledge or skills, make it mobile responsive, integrate it with your email service provider or CRM, run A/B split tests, and publish it to Facebook, WordPress, or your own server.

That’s great. We should put that on Facebook.

Right now, I’m one of the 727 million users who will sign on to Facebook today and that’s just a small piece of the 1.19 billion users on Facebook worldwide. That means that any given moment, thousands or even millions of your potential clients and customers are hanging out on Facebook no matter what business you’re in and they’re just waiting to see all the cool stuff that you have to show with them and interact with you. That’s why all of our LeadPages templates are 100% Facebook compatible and that means all LeadPages users can quickly publish any of our templates to Facebook as a Facebook tab in order to build their list, get more fans and customers create interaction and it’s about to get even better.

I want to introduce you to the LeadPages template that’s specifically designed from the ground up to build your list through Facebook. It’s calledthe made-for-Facebook giveaway page. Now since Facebook is such an integral part of most people’s daily lives, it only makes sense to go where your audience already is to start interacting with them and to build your list. This page allows you to give away killer free content on Facebook while getting Facebook users to opt into your list and to like your page.

We’d like to give a shout out to LeadPages mega user James Schramko from SuperFastBusiness.com for giving us his original design to share with the LeadPages community. If you haven’t checked out James’ site yet, please do it today. There’s a link under this video. A huge thank you to James.

So we took the original template James shared with us and tweaked out the design to optimize it for conversions like we did with the webinar page from James Schramko here. We originally took his design and we supped it up to make it convert even better and now this page is the highest converting page inside We Pages. So we thought creating pages based on James Schramko’s pages was a good thing to do and we’re trying it again with Facebook and we think this page will increase conversions even more.

Now here’s the page in the LeadPages editor but to see the magic of it, let’s look at it when it’s published to Facebook and let’s publish it to Facebook in four clicks. 1, 2, 3, 4. Now here’s the page published to Facebook. This page was made from the ground up to give you an edge on Facebook. One really cool thing about this page is if you use it on Facebook, the like section will be turned on and it will line up perfectly with your like button to help you get more likes for your fan page while you’re also building your email list. A bonus is that this section can be turned off and this page can be used outside of Facebook if you’d like. As you can see here, this is the page with the like section turned off and published as a regular web page.

So let’s take a look at how to customize this page inside We Pages. Like with all of our pages, you simply click on an item and add what you need. I’m going to add my logo by clicking on it and selecting it from my images here. Now I also want to add an image representing the video lessons that I’m going to be giving away and this will replace the image of the computer right here on the page. So I’ll find those on my computer and upload those. Now I want to update the copy so people understand more about what they’re going to be getting when they opt in to my list. Finally, I’d like to change the colors a little bit to match my branding so I’ll just go into style settings and adjust things so they match as close as possible and here you just click on one of the colors, adjust the slider, and the color will be adjusted on the page. So once that’s to my liking, I click okay. Again, this page is about giving away free content so you can build your list so I need to set up my opt-in form integration. I’ll just select which service I want to integrate with and which list I want to add people to when they sign up. Once that’s done just select okay.

Also, since I’m giving away my free video lessons, I need to add those to my lead magnet delivery section right up here at the top. The lead magnet delivery system handles sending your free report, downloadable eBook or videos in this case or whatever else you’re giving away in exchange for someone’s email address while your email service provider still functions exactly the same as it normally would and sends out all the other emails that you’ve set up in your email service provider account. The lead magnet delivery system is our favorite way of delivering lead magnets and we suggest you use it with your pages.

So now that the lead magnet is set up, we just need to name the page, save the page and then as I mentioned you can publish this outside of Facebook if you’d like using any of the options in the publishing window. To publish this page on Facebook as a Facebook tab, assuming you’re logged in already, it’s as simple as four clicks. Simply click the Facebook tab, select add to Facebook page, select which page to publish to and then click add page tab. This page is now published and you can start getting more likes for your fan page and names for your email list.

If you’re not a LeadPages customer, you will need to be a coder or hire a coder to make the downloadable template below work. For non-LeadPages customers, it’s a bit more difficult to set up. Here’s what you need to do if you’re not a LeadPages customer. If you’re a developer, click on the link below and opt in to get this amazing Facebook template and our lead magnet delivery system will deliver it to you. You modify the HTML and CSS using your coding skills or the coder you’ve hired and then integrate it with your autoresponder, Facebook, etc. Get your landing page code that you’ve generated and then publish the page. So these are all the steps that you need to take if you’re not a LeadPages customer.

If you are a LeadPages customer, you don’t need to download the template. It’s already in the member’s area and you can start using it there. Let us know what you think of this new template in the comments section beneath this video. Again if you’re not a LeadPages customer and you’d like to use this template, head to www.LeadPages.net to get LeadPages.

I’m Jeff Wenberg. Take care.

I am curious. Why will I use the lead magnet service from LeadPages as opposed to having Mailchimp deliver it? Please advice

  • Marshall

It doesn’t appear that this works with the new timeline feature for business pages. Facebook has guarded against making any other tab a landing tab. Is this not the case or am I behind?

    • Hi Marshall… we tried this as demoed in the video above and everything seems to be working great. You wrote “It doesn’t appear that this works with the new timeline feature for business pages” … but what do you mean by “this”? Does “this” refer to LeadPages? Our FB integration? The landing page given above? The overall strategy?

We’d love to help you out. Would you mind providing a little more information.

      Warm regards,

      • Marshall

I guess I was just slightly misled in that it is what LeadPages calls a ‘landing page,’ but Facebook no longer allows Business Pages to set a tab like we’re creating to the page’s ‘landing tab.’ FB users will still have to select the tab in order to see it. If this is not the case, then I would love to see how LeadPages can integrate better with our FB Page.

  • Ian Marshall

Seems the download link is associated with your “Create the perfect opt-in bribe” series as opposed to downloading the template.

    • Hi Ian! I opted in to download the landing page and it was delivered to my inbox! So everything is working as expected on this end.

      Warm regards,

  • Brett Fogle

Looks great, thanks for offering this… Already a happy LeadPages customer.

  • LaCreachia

Hello – do you have any templates that can be used with Twitter the same way as you would use for Facebook.

    • Hi! Great question.

Unfortunately, twitter does not allow you to create or post landing pages. It’s really not a page hosting service. So neither LeadPages nor any other landing page platform can do this 🙁 Sorry, I wish we had better news.

      Warm regards,

      • La Creachia

Hi Clay thanks for your response. Do you have landing pages that can be used in Pinterest. If so can you recommend landing or squeeze pages that I can implement into Pinterest. I would like to utilize your tools but trying to figure how.

  • Carlo Krouzian

Great template Clay. Can’t wait to use it for my next campaign. By the way, when is the template with the video background going to be available? Is aw Pat Flynn show it off and I also saw Jeff Walker use it for his launch last month.

  • Alex

If I’m not mistaken, this can only work as a facebook tab, meaning that each user has to click on it in order to actually see this leadpage.

But is it possible to make this leadpage the “main page” on my facebook so that this is the first thing EVERY new user who stumbles upon my facebook page sees?

    Thanks for any help.

    • Jamie

Hi Alex. The only way I know is when you run facebook adverts you can set the advert to go directly the the Custom Tab you just created with Leadpages. Its a option in the placing adverts section of facebook for each advert you create.

    • Marshall

I think Alex communicated what I was saying below more clearly.

    • Hi Alex,

Great questions. The truth is that for anyone to get to any page, they need to click on *something* :-), and it’s the same here. FB won’t let you publish a tab as the home page for your FB page, but you can get a URL and send people directly to a FB tab directly from an AD or any link on any website.

I hope this answers your questions.

      Warm regards,

  • Steve

Hello: I created a Page with this Template but cannot access my Facebook Page, possibly because I already have a Lead Pages Tab on it. How do I replace it without deleting the first Page (in case I want to use it again)?

    • Unfortunately, you can only publish one LeadPages tab to each FB page. According to Facebook’s terms of service, every app (including LeadPages), is only allowed one tab per Facebook page. So we’re playing by the rules to keep you safe from shutdown. If any other tools allow you to post more than one tab per Facebook page then they’re breaking Facebook’s terms of service, unfortunately.

Are there plans on making this template a fan gate, so that everything except the top right of the page where it says click like would be grayed out until they like the page so they can get the free download? Or have you guys seen that fan gates don’t work?

    • Derrick,

Great question. We’d make this template a fangate if that made sense, but really it doesn’t make sense to ask people to “like” your page in order for them to have the opportunity to opt-in to your list. We really try to focus on one point of conversion, and in the past we’ve seen people get upset if we’re telling them that they have to like a page in order to get the lead magnet, but then really they have to opt-in also.

      • Derrick Horvath

Clay, thanks so much for answering that question. What I had in mind was more of a download page once they liked, so they didn’t have to enter an email, just ‘like’ the page which would then reveal a download page. I agree I would hate to ‘like’ then also give my email.
I understand the email is more important than the likes, so maybe that’s what I’m getting wrong here. We shouldn’t be focused on driving traffic to get likes, but drive traffic to get emails, got it.

        Thanks again.

        • No problem. We actually recommend that you ask for likes on your post opt-in thank you pages. But in our experience the #1 goal is email opt-ins, so we like to prioritize that.

  • Clay – any more feedback to having Get Response 360 work with LeadPages?

  • Ryan Arnold

Freak Clay! What are you guys eating for breakfast over there? Every week a new kick butt high converting template for annual cost of $200+-. Not to mention free marketing lessons?

Love LeadPages. Just sayin’… Tell every marketer I talk to about it.

    • Kat Von Rohr

Thanks Ryan! We appreciate that! 😀

I tried to download the template above but, when the email came it was about the highest converting optin bribe.
Can you tell me where I can get the template?
    Thank you!
