In this case, we examine a headline test run by Doren Aldana by Power of Choice Coaching for his webinar’s landing page. Doren and his team tested two different headlines and found that one strategy would increase their current webinar opt-ins by 82.16%.

Version B, with a 100% probability of outperforming Version A, increased the webinar’s landing page opt-in rate by 82.16%!

Although we can’t say with 100% certainty why this change caused the increase, here are a few of my speculations:

  1. The additional sentence above the headline summarized the webinar’s offering, providing clarity to the customer.
  2. The additional sentence was underlined to draw the visitor’s attention, increasing the headline’s prominence on the page.

Not all visitors are the same, but testing your headlines may be something to consider for your own landing pages.
