If you chose Version B you are correct!

Version B, with a 100% probability of outperforming Version A, increased opt-ins by 465.10%.

Although we can’t say with 100% certainty why this change caused the increase, here are a few of my speculations:

  1. The business-themed imagery in Version B matched the visitors’ motivations, as well as the copy on the landing page.
  2. The background image in Version B may have increased the perceived credibility of the product.

Not all visitors are the same, but testing your landing page’s background imagery may be something to consider for your own landing pages.

    answer: A

Sorry Maya, B was the correct answer and received the 465% increase in the Opt-In Rate. The increase was most likely due to the fact that the background was more closely related to the content the customer would receive after opting in.

  • Got that one right – I was wondering what a beach scene had to do with the price of fish … relaxing, yes – but confusing!

Well done Keely! That’s exactly what we thought!
