I’m confused. This is a copy of and xkcd comic… only one word is changed. Isn’t that rude to the artist to change their work without permission?    http://xkcd.com/386/

    • Jason . . . I original comic is licensed under the creative commons 2.0 license (see http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/2.5/ ).  I attributed this derivative work to the original author and linked to the original page.  As long as I’m not selling this image AND I’m linking to it and attributing the work to the original author, we’re 100% fine.

    • You could scroll down and find this text:

“This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 2.5 License.”

    • P.S. Great question, however.  It’s important that everyone’s work be used only in the way they wanted it used.
