Webinar here, get your webinar. Why isn’t anybody purchasing?
With social media, blogging being such big communication tools, marketing has changed and adapted to the availability of communication. While there’s definitely still a place for long marketing pieces, in a lot of businesses they’re just not needed. All you need to do is state your offer. You’re already showing your potential customers what you can do for them when you speak to them on social networks, in blog posts, and through other free content where you provide value, help them solve problems, teach them and give them valuable information for free. If your price point is on the low end and you have a really long sales page, it can be a bit overkill and actually hurt your sales. It makes people suspicious like why are you writing a ton of copy here for a $7 product that I was already going to buy.
So with that in mind, we created the super simple sales page. This page was created for when you’ve already done your preselling and you want to make it simple for people to purchase what you’re selling. This page is great for selling low cost reports, webinars you’re selling access to and in-person meet-up that you’re charging admission to and so on. It has all the components of a sales page that you need and nothing you don’t. As with all of our pages, this page is mobile responsive so it will display correctly on any size screen your visitor may have.
You’ve got your headline section here at the top where you can add a video if you wanted to or if you don’t want it to, you can turn it off altogether and then the buy button right here at the top for the people ready to purchase right away. Underneath that, there’s the links you can use for presales questions and FAQs. Down here, there’s the benefits or details section where you can list all the benefits they’ll get or everything that comes with your offer and then of course the buy button below to make it easy to purchase for people that just wanted to see what came with the offer.
I’ve got a webinar coming up that I’m selling access to so I need to make a sales page for it. So let’s customize a page inside the We Pages. Like with all of our pages, you just click on something to edit it. So I’ll add my headline. Now I’m going to add my video link here but if I didn’t want to have a video, I can just turn it off right here and now if I zoom out, you can see that video has gone from the page. But since I’m going to put my link here, I’ll turn it back on and you can use video links here from most video services like YouTube, Vimeo, Wistia, LeadPlayer, JWPlayer, Easy Video player or any other player that gives you an embed code that you can paste on a page.
Now I need to link my buy button to my payment processor so I’ll add that link right here. Now in the benefits section here, I’ve only got three things to put in and I’m going to do that and turn the rest off. So I’ll input all of the stuff that I need here and get it looking how I want and then once that’s done, I’m going to just hide the other chat boxes since I’m not going to be having anything in them. Finally, this payment button at the bottom needs my payment processor link so I’ll add that in and once I’m done with that, I’m going to say I’m done customizing the page.
In LeadPages, every opt-in page can be turned into a webinar registration page so I can set this page as my thank you page and then when somebody opts in here, it not only adds them to my buyer list but it also add them to the webinar they just paid for. Doing this also works amazing with the really big feature that we need to set up and this is the conversion goal page. Now this lets you track conversions on your sales page and how this works is when someone comes to your sales page, they decide to buy and then once their payment is fully processed they’re brought to this goal page signaling a conversion has been made. So we’re telling this sales page that when someone visits this thank you page, it should count as conversion for this sales page. So in order to tell this sales page that it should count as conversion when someone visits this thank you page, we’ll select the thank you page as the conversion goal page.
After your conversion goal is selected, it allows LeadPages to track your conversions and give you data about how many sales you’ve made with your sales page. We highly recommend that you use this feature so you can get hard numbers on how well your sales page is performing. Now once I’m done customizing the page, I’ll name the page and then save the page. Once I save the page, it’s now live on the internet and as soon as I hit publish, LeadPages gives me a URL that I can immediately view. So let’s go take a look.
Here’s the page totally customized and looking great. Back in the publishing window, you can also publish the page to WordPress, publish the page to Facebook as a Facebook tab or you can download the file and put it on your own server. If you’re not a LeadPages customer, you will need to be a coder or hire a coder to make the downloadable template below work.
For non-LeadPages customers it’s a bit more difficult to set up. Here’s what you’ll need to do if you’re not a LeadPages customer. If you’re a developer, click on the link below and opt in to get the super simple sales page template and our lead magnet delivery system will deliver it to you. Modify the HTML and CSS using your coding skills or the coder you’ve hired, integrate it with your autoresponder, WordPress, etc. Get your landing page code that you’ve generated and then publish the page. So these are all the steps that you’ll need to take if you’re not a LeadPages customer.
If you are a LeadPages customer, you don’t need to do any of that because it’s already in the member’s area. You can get started using it there. So let us know what you think of this new template in the comments section beneath this video. Now again if you’re not a LeadPages customer and you’d like to use this template, head to www.LeadPages.net to get LeadPages.
I’m Jeff Wenberg. Have a great day.
