But first, let’s talk about why this type of Ultimate Guide page works so well.

One surefire way to improve the search ranking of your business is by creating long-form content that brands you as an authority. For example, HelpScout published this 8-chapter guide about Customer Loyalty on their website. The guide is optimized with specific keywords so people can find the useful content in search results but also learn about the brand at the same time. In fact, if you google customer loyalty, Help Scout’s guide ranks third for “customer loyalty” and gets over 8,000 searches per month.

As another example Neil Patel, the co-founder of Kissmetrics and Crazy Egg, wrote this guide for his brand Quick Sprout. This in-depth guide to building a blog audience is meant to rank highly in search engines for anyone looking to grow their blog. Once on the site, visitors not only learn valuable lessons about growing their audience, they also learn about Quick Sprout.

Having a long-form, high-quality piece of content that lots of people will find value in and want to link to is a fantastic method to rank organically for keywords related to your content.

Let’s take a look at the Ultimate Guide Landing Page and Chapter Page. The Landing Page is a beautiful template for you to share an intriguing excerpt from your long-form content. The goal here is to have a blurb that entices the viewer to either download all the content with any of the numerous download buttons, or to click through to the individual chapter pages to read more.

The Chapter Page can be linked using the chapter buttons on the Landing Page. When visitors click through to the chapter page, they’ll see the entire chapter—and they can read it on the page, download the chapter, or share the page with their audience.

As an added bonus for both of these pages, we’re also giving away 10 custom images and coordinating color codes for you to use with these templates, or anywhere else you’d like to use them.

You can download all the files by clicking the button above. Or, if you’re a LeadPages customer, you’ll find the images in the image bank for these templates.

Now let’s look at how easy this template is to customize and use. Using the free provided images, we’ve customized it as a guide to productivity, and here it’s set up as a travel guide.

The best part is we customized all of these pages in just minutes. It’s that easy.

To change any text, just click and type. To change an image, just select a new one. To link the Landing Page to a Chapter Page, just paste the URL of the Chapter Page here. If you want to change the colors to match your branding, you can do that here.

Now, there are two ways you can get this template. You could download the HTML, CSS, JavaScript and image files by clicking on the button above. It’s free and there no strings attached. But you’ll need to be a coder or hire a coder in order to customize the template to use on your site.

The second way is to sign up for a LeadPages account. Then you’ll have immediate access to this template and over 100 more inside LeadPages. You’ll be able to customize and publish any template without ever having to touch a line of code—so you’ll save a ton of time and money.

You seem to have an issue with the download link on this page. I shared this page with my Google+ account, got the “click here to download images” link and the pop-up says “register for this webinar” … No actual link to any content. Tried again, got yet pop-up to yet another page, still no download content. Might want to practice what you preach 🙂

    • Jeff Wenberg

Hi Charlene, thanks for bringing it to our attention. There was in fact an error, but it is now fixed. NOW, if you opt-in you’ll get the file downloads emailed to you immediately. Sorry about that.

      • Charlene Yount Runge

Thank you for the prompt attention to this. 🙂

      • Chris

Shared on Twitter just now, but no email? Incidious bug, apparently.

Still like to have those images, though.

        • Chris

Never mind! Usually emails from your guys arrive within minutes, but this one took a detour of an hour. But it arrived and that is what counts 🙂

  • Maggie Percy

This seems to be just what we’ve been looking for. We’ll do some research to adapt to our market. Thanks!
I really appreciate the guidance for how to use LeadPages to enhance our business results. It is one of the reasons I’m a real LeadPages ‘groupie’. 🙂

    • Jeff Wenberg

Thanks Maggie! Make sure to come back and post a link to your ultimate guide! 🙂

      • Maggie Percy

        Thanks, Jeff!

  • Asaf Katz

Sounds brilliant. Q: how would that improve my organic search position if it’s stored on LP server?

    • Daphne Sidor

Hey, Asaf! You actually don’t have to publish your LeadPages to LeadPages’ servers (though many people like this option because they don’t have to worry about paying for web hosting, etc.). If you have an existing site that you’re trying to optimize for SEO, you can absolutely publish your pages to your server under your own domain name. You’d just customize your page inside of LeadPages, click a button to download the HTML file, and then upload that file via your usual FTP client to wherever you’d like it to live within the structure of your site.

Let me know if I misunderstood where your question was coming from, or if you have any follow-up questions!

  • Hey jeff, is there any way i can speak or write to you guys to discuss on can i push my whole site to leadpages or is only about the blog landing page and the landing pages?

In case i use the landing pages from leadpage.net, any custom dynamic functionality in my site will that be taken care with leadpage technology?

    • Jeff Wenberg

Hi Yakin, I’m not sure I’m understanding your question. I think you’re asking if you can create an entire site with LeadPages. In that case, technically you could, although LeadPages is not a website builder. It’s a landing page builder. So you could create a bunch of landing pages and link them together to form a “website” but if you have dynamic functionality already on your site, you’d have to figure out how to publsih that on your landing pages.

      • you understood my question well… Can the blog page be designed in this?

        • Jeff Wenberg

Yakin, technically yes it’s possible. I wouldn’t recommend it from an ease of use standpoint. While the pages themselves are easy to use, something like WordPress would be easier to maintain and manage than a bunch of single pages.

  • Bengt Nilsson

How do I get the download? I want the images, not a webinar or tutorial this time.

    • Jeff Wenberg

Hi Bengt, I just tried to download this and it worked on my end. Check your spam folder for the email. Perhaps try opt-ing in again if you don’t see anything there.

      • Bengt Nilsson

Nope, nothing in spam folder. Where do you want me to opt-in again?

        • Jeff Wenberg

Right below the video, click the button that says download these templates.

          • Bengt Nilsson

I am trying. Message saying that it will be in my inbox shortly. But no mail?
Everything we promised you will be sent to your inbox shortly.

          • Jeff Wenberg

Sorry for the problems. Like I said I just tried it and the email was there. Perhaps opt-in with a different email?

          • Bengt Nilsson

Thank you for trying to help me. I did try with another email aswell but it seems that I have to do without the images :-[

          • Jeff Wenberg

Bengt, would you mind putting your email here and we can just mail it directly to you? We can delete the comment once you post it so your email isn’t floating around.

          • Bengt Nilsson

Thanks for your effort. Now I got the download.

          • Jeff Wenberg

            Great! Glad to hear it.
