Achieving a 30 to 40% webinar registration rate would satisfy the majority of marketers but if you could double that percentage that would be huge for the success of your business. One thing LeadPages is known for is our high converting webinar registration pages. In fact, many LeadPages customers have achieved conversion rates in the 70% range with just about all of our webinar registration pages. These results are absolutely amazing. Here are just a few webinar registration pages from Call Loop, John Lee Dumus, Dan Kennedy, Michael Hyatt and Amy Porterfield. These pages have all performed incredibly well for their users. Now because we never want to stay satisfied and rest on our laurels we took our highest converting template and updated the design to see if we could top it. This is a complete update for a webinar 2.0 page. When you sort the webinar pages by their average conversion rate you’ll see the webinar 2.0 page right at the very top. We think this webinar 3.0 page with two hosts and high call to action is going to perform even better. It has all the elements for creating a top performing webinar registration page.
The first and most obvious thing that stands out is the page looks completely different from a design perspective. The default colors and image style are unlike any other webinar registration page available in LeadPages. It has a very clean and modern look. Next the page has a high call to action button , which is proven to boost conversions and gives the visitor an opportunity to register right away without having to scroll down the page. Followed by this countdown timer that creates a sense of urgency to register for your visitors. In this space you can have images of a single host or two hosts if you’re having a cohosted webinar. These images really help people connect with you and your guest. They can see that they’re going to be on a webinar with a real person not some nameless corporation.
Forming that connection can often boost conversions and we recommend you split test different images from casual to more formal to find out , which has the best effect on your conversions. There are social share buttons here so people that register for this webinar can share the registration page with their friends and followers to increase traffic to this page.
As your social shares grow, it provides additional social proof that your webinar is gaining attention. Next is the bolded list of benefits. In this space, you focus on what someone is going to learn on the webinar specifically, what kinds of things are going to benefit from it. This is where you can really drive up the curiosity. Then there’s another call to action section so if someone is ready to register for the webinar, they can do that without scrolling all the way back up the page. Finally, the Facebook comments at the bottom of the page really help to win more social proof and conversation to your page. When people see that other people are saying awesome things about your webinar it’s better than anything you could ever say about yourself.
Now this page looks absolutely amazing and we’re predicting it’s soon going to be the highest converting webinar registration page inside of LeadPages. We encourage you to set up a split test with a new version of this webinar registration page against the original version for your next webinar with our built-in split testing tool inside of LeadPages. Now that we’ve dissected the page, let’s look at how to set this up inside of LeadPages.
Go to My.LeadPages.net and log in. Find the webinar 3.0 page with two hosts and a high CTA button and click use this template. Select the market the page will be used in from the dropdown. Now like with everything inside of LeadPages, you just click on something to edit it. So you can edit who will be presenting the webinar, what the webinar will be about, the date of the webinar, and then let’s set up the page so people are registered for the webinar when they opt in. You just click on the button and the opt-in form integration window comes up. You’d select , which integration you’d like to use and , which list you’d like to add people to.
Now turn on the integrate with GoToWebinar and then select , which webinar people should be registered for. With this option enabled, not only will someone who opts in be added to your email list, they’ll also be registered for your webinar without having to do anything extra. You can also add multiple form fields like name, email or drop downs. If you’d like to swap out the images of the LeadBox you can just click the image and then select a new one. Or click on the image and select hidden. Now let’s name this page and then save this page so we don’t lose any customizations we’ve done up to this point.
Next, if you’d like to allow people to share your webinar registration page to create a new traffic source, just click on each network and enter the requested information. If you’d like to hide any or all of these icons, just click on the gear icon and select hide.
Next let’s enter the time the webinar starts so the countdown timer will start counting down. When you add the start time, the countdown timer will dynamically populate and please note that the time you select here matches the time zone that you’re currently in. If you’d like to hide one of the presenter images, you just click on the gear and select hidden. To swap out a picture click on it and then select a picture you’d like to add from the image bank. Let’s update our benefit section here. You can see that if you delete a bullet it dynamically adjusts in the page. If you add a bullet the page also dynamically adjusts accordingly.
If you want to edit the button text just click on the gear icon and select edit and then enter in your new button text here. If you’d like to add Facebook comments, click on the section and add the URL of your Facebook comments here.
Then finally select how many comments you’d like to show on the page. If you’d like to adjust the colors of the page, you can switch over to the styles tab and use the color picker to adjust any element on the page. Now that I’m done customizing the page, I’ll save the page again. If I’d like to check to see if this page looks okay on a tablet or as smart phone I can do that right inside of LeadPages. I’ll just click on the tablet button to scroll through the page on the tablet and you can see that it looks amazing or if I click on the phone I can scroll through the page on a smart phone and again you can see that it’s absolutely beautiful. When I click publish, LeadPages gives me a URL I can use to instantly view the page. Here’s the page looking great on my desktop.
Now back in the publishing window, there are a few more options. You can publish the page to WordPress, publish the page to Facebook as a Facebook tab or you can download the file and put it on your own server.
If you’re not a LeadPages customer, this can be a bit more difficult to set up. Here’s what you’ll need to do if you’re not a LeadPages customer.
If you’re a developer, click on the link below and opt in to receive this template and our LeadMagnet delivery system will deliver it to you. Modify the HTML and CSS using your coding skills or the coder you’ve hired, integrate the page with your autoresponder, WordPress etc., get your landing page code that you’ve generated and finally publish the page. Now we’ve found that if you’re not a LeadPages customer, typically it will cost around $300 for a coder to customize and publish the page for you.
If you are a LeadPages customer, you can publish unlimited pages and do all the customizations within minutes without ever having to touch a line of code. Just head to www.LeadPages.net and click on the button below the video to get LeadPages. If you’re unsure, which plan to go with, we recommend the pro annual plan as it comes with the majority of the features we have, allows for split testing your LeadPages and LeadBoxes, includes one free subaccount, and is 40% cheaper than paying monthly.
