[Announcement] We’re Hosting Our Very First Conference (And You Get To Create It)

540x304 (1)

Since starting LeadPages™, I’ve wanted to create an annual conference that would serve as the catalyst for savvy marketers, businesses, and entrepreneurs around the world to easily build the strategies, relationships, and expertise they need to rapidly accelerate business growth.

I’m glad to say, that dream has come to life.

In January of this year, we started planning our first conference. It’s called CONVERTED 2015.

This October 20th, hundreds of innovative business owners, thought leaders, and key influencers will come together for two days of compelling content, learning, networking, entertainment, and inspiration.

We believe CONVERTED 2015 will become the #1 conversion event for business growth.

The Details

First, let’s get the concrete details out of the way. We’ve had a lot of people already ask about our conference, and these are some of the more common questions:

1) When is the conference?

October 20-21, 2015.

2) Where will the conference be?

The conference will be hosted at The Depot Renaissance Hotel, which is located in downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota (an airport hub city). The Depot is one of the city’s most distinctive landmarks, as it was a historic train depot that has been reimagined as a premiere upscale hotel and event center chock full of modern and locally-sourced amenities. Check it out:

The Depot Renaissance Hotel in downtown Minneapolis, MN.

And while you’re in Minneapolis, you can enjoy the beautiful fall scenery in one of America’s best cities for fall travel. Walk the trails, enjoy craft breweries and taste some amazing food in one of the greatest food destinations in the nation — all no more than five blocks from your hotel.

Downtown Minneapolis on Hennepin Street.

 3) Who will be there?

Undisputed leaders in the marketing and conversion rate optimization industry.

Not only will we have the best minds from LeadPages™ on-hand to share the best practices we’ve developed to help your business grow, but we’ll also have industry leading marketers, thought leaders, and brands on hand to demo valuable tools that will completely transform the way you market.

From the attendee side…it gets more interesting. It’s our first year doing this, so we decided to cap registration at 500 attendees (trust me, we *will* sell out quickly).

  • Steve Olsher

hot damn! sounds like a rockin good time. i’m in.

    • Sean Bestor

Can’t wait to see you there, Steve. Any particular keynote you want to rock the stage?

      • Steve Olsher

is it wrong to nominate myself… 🙂 that said, any of the teachers that i’ve had at Internet Prophets LIVE! in the past, or at this year’s conference in May in Los Angeles would be awesome. this includes folks like Pat Flynn, Gary Henderson, Lewis Howes, Alex Mandossian, Vishen Lakhiani, Justin Livingston, Mike Filsaime, Brendon Burchard, etc.

        • Sean Bestor

It’s never wrong to nominate yourself 🙂 I like this list, and we’ll mark them all down and see what we can do!

    • Meqa Smith

Yup – sounds like it’s going to be brilliant!

  • Gary Henderson

    Sounds fun to me!

    • Sean Bestor

Sounds fun to us too, Gary! Any speaker you want to hear at the conference?

  • Kenny Goodman

Sounds great. Get James Schramko on that speaker list!

    • Sean Bestor

Kenny! That’s the big thinking we love! We’ll mark it down and we can’t wait to see you there.

    • Meqa Smith

      Great idea

  • Keith Matthew

I have to be in Minneapolis Oct 22nd so that works out great!

    • Sean Bestor

Well Minneapolis is happy to have you, Keith! I’d love to hear what speaker you’d like to hear from.

  • Sounds awesome!

    • Sean Bestor

You hit the nail on the head, Scott. It WILL be awesome, and we’re excited to get you down here to Minneapolis.

  • Roy Sargent

Woo hoo! I’d love to hear Perry Marshall and maybe some InfusionSoft guru. Heck, Chris Davis would be great!

    • Sean Bestor

Chris Davis is a masterful email artist, and we’ll certainly get him there! Thanks for the read, and enjoy the tickets that I hope you bought 🙂

      • Roy Sargent

Sean, I see the difference between Early Bird and VIP is seating and videos. Not too concerned about the seating, but the videos would be gold. Will we get more details about that?

        • Sean Bestor

Yep! It’s only the VIPs that will get recorded videos of every session sent directly to them after the conference. It’s a pretty cool bonus that we highly recommend.

          • Gloria Rand

Will you have multiple sessions running at the same time? If so, that would make the videos doubly valuable to catch speakers you may have missed.

    • I’m honored Roy! Would love to teach an in depth course on LeadPages and Infusionsoft. Where we could really dive into some campaigns and advanced LP stuff 😉

      • Roy Sargent

You bet, Chris. I only watched you show Jeni about 7 minutes of help on her campaigns and it opened up how it could work for this long-time newbie. Who knows what would happen in 50 minutes! Not that it all wasn’t amazing…

  • Rob Ainbinder

    Jay Baer
    Tim Ash
    Bryan Eisenberg

    • Sean Bestor

Sweet, Rob! That’s a solid list. Thanks for the help in shaping how this conference will look.

      • Rob Ainbinder

Thanks, Sean! Maybe I’ll be able to say I helped shape it at the second conference. The tickets are a little out of range this year.

  • I’d like to nominate one of my favorite conversion experts,
partner, friend and all around great guy… Mike Filsaime!

    • Sean Bestor

Aye aye, Captain! If we get him to speak, you might have to give that very same awesome intro 🙂 Thanks for the suggestion.

  • Marcos

I would love to nomite Clay Collins! Just in case you forget to invite him 🙂

    • Sean Bestor

Hmmm…maybe 🙂 Clay Collins will definitely be there, and you’ll want to hear what he has to say!

  • How about a closing keynote – “Beyond the Lead – Nurturing Your Prospects from First Visit To Happily Ever After.”

    • Sean Bestor

Love the idea, Noah! We’ll mark that down on our big board.

  • This conference will be epic!!!

    • Sean Bestor

You need at least five more exclamation points on that, Darcy, because it’s going to be the most epic conference ever! I hope we see you there.

  • You can nominate Gary V!!!!

    • Sean Bestor

Gary Vaynerchuk is an excellent suggestion!

    • Meqa Smith

      I double second that!

  • Seeing as my man Steve Olsher set the precedent and Alan Weiss (who wrote the forward for Noah Fleming’s book) said “if you don’t blow your own horn, there will be no music” – – I am nominating myself : )

Wrote Profit Hacking (http://amzn.to/1GBXMh1) and spoke recently at Archangel Academy (http://www.archangelacademy2015.com/).

Speaking or not – – I love the way you’re creating the event & there’s a very high chance I’m attending.

    • Sean Bestor

I think I’m going to add that line into my own lexicon of phrases, Steve…I like the nomination, and we’ll put it on the big board!

We’d love to see you there! Is this a weatherman “Very high chance of sun today” and it’s completely cloudy out the whole day or is this more of a “Very high chance I’ll probably be there please plan accordingly” sort of deal 🙂 We sure would like it to be the latter!

    • That a boy, Steve 🙂

  • Having just wrapped up the first ever LeadPages Mastermind last week, I can say that the in-house experts we have make for awesome presenters. And since many of our participants stayed at the Renaissance Depot, I can say it’s a great choice for a venue. I can’t wait to see the best of the best at this event, live and in person.

    • Sean Bestor

As one of those in-house experts that spoke, I can attest to the validity of this statement! People are going to get a lot out of this conference, and I can’t wait for it to be October already.

      • Speaking of Alan Weiss…

And indeed, despite a sub-par Frank Underwood impression, your talk was awesome.

  • Emanuel Michael

Sounds good! I would love to hear from Ryan Desis, James Wedmore, Frank Kern, and/or Jeff Walker.

    • Sean Bestor

THAT is an awesome list, Emanuel! We’ll throw them on the big board. Thanks a ton for the suggestions.

  • Cristina Favreau

Would love to see Peep Laja on the speaker list!

    • Sean Bestor

And Peep Laja shall go on the big board, Cristina! Thanks for the recommendation. Hopefully you’ll be there to hear the speakers 🙂

      • Cristina Favreau

Will do my best to make the 20+hr drive from Montreal!

  • Gloria Rand

How about some women speakers? I can think of several right off the bat – Mari Smith, Sue B. Zimmerman, Amy Porterfield, Kim Garst, just to name a few!

    • Sean Bestor

Absolutely, Gloria! I love these suggestions, and we’ll put them on our big board.

    • Nice list Gloria!

  • I’m super excited about this. Can’t wait to meet you there.

    • Sean Bestor

We’ll exchange a hearty handshake when you arrive, Jason! Any particular speaker you’d like to hear from?

      • At the risk of sounding overly self-important, I’d love to present – That way I can show folks how LeadPages has helped double my online business. 🙂

  • hmmmm nice weather in Minn in October? Me thinks there be Viking lies amongst thy page of lead breatheren lol

    • Sean Bestor

Believe it, Darren! Minneapolis was voted one of the best cities to experience the fall season in. So pack the walking shoes when you come on up because you’d definitely want to sight see a bit.

  • This sounds fantastic. I’d love to see research/case studies on how bloggers are growing their audiences in 2015. As a blog designer and statistician who is loving that statistical testing is now trendy in the world of web design, I’m constantly wanting to improve ROI for my clients with current proven methods for this.

    • Sean Bestor

Excellent, Rachel! I have to say, if you’re a designer AND a statistician, then you’re a rare breed that can go far in the split testing world 🙂 This conference would be perfect for what you’re looking for, and I’d love to hear of some keynote speakers you’d like that could touch on both these roles.

      • Thanks Sean. I’m really struggling to think of a statistician colleague at the University I work for who does the intercept of statistics, design and marketing… this makes me realise I should promote this more about myself on my own website.

Would love to come – I’m based in New Zealand. If not this conference, will look forward to future ones!

  • Having just attended The Mastermind at your corporate headquarters with Bob The Teacher and the rest of your AMAZING team I know you will over deliver an incredible experience. I think copywriting is always the hardest part to master so that would be a great topic and Steve Olsher is correct, he is a great speaking choice. I’d also love to see Seth Godin live.

    • Sean Bestor

Corey, we were so glad to have you at our HQ (and hopefully ride the drift bike)! We’ll take that copywriting bit into serious consideration, and we’ll put those names on the big board. Thanks for commenting!

  • Wade Byrd

CONVERTED 2015 => Looks like $$$ => A great place to learn and implement from those actually blowing it up. GARY VAYNERCHUK would be at the top of my list for Keynote speakers….

    • Sean Bestor

We aim to please, Wade! If you’re going to have the best conference, you have to have the best information — which we plan on doing AND having 🙂 Gary seems to be a popular person. He’s moving up the big board fast…

      • Meqa Smith

Yes please – I LOVE him!!! Be worth coming from Australia for.

  • This sounds incredible! I would like to nominate Pat Flynn, Chalene Johnson, Tim Ferris, David Siteman Garland, Antonio Centeno, Chris Ducker, Shawn Stevenson, Jordan Harbinger, Lewis Howes, Ramit Sethi, Derek Halpern, and Dane Maxwell.

…if you could get just a fraction of those brilliant individuals to speak, nothing would stop me from attending that event!

    • Sean Bestor

If this were fantasy football, what you just described would be an entire first round of top picks. I like where your head’s at, Bryan! We’re throwing those up on the big board and marking them down. Thanks a bunch for this list!

  • Interesting… this is the first conference in quite a while that I am really interested in going to. Looking to read more about it.

    • Sean Bestor

Awesome! More information is coming soon, so stay tuned.

  • Awesome news! I was hoping you all would launch a conference. I would love to see Pat Flynn or James Schramko on the list of speakers.

    • Sean Bestor

And your hopes have been answered, Christian! But we’ll be turning that from “a conference” into “THE conference” 🙂 I like the names you threw out there, and we’ll put them on the big board. Thanks for the comment!

  • Meqa Smith

Hey could you set up some kind of forum for people who’ve bought tickets so we can network before the event and tee up some one on ones or at least start connecting with people we feel we could add value to, learn from or would just love to meet? This sounds AWESOME!! I’m based in Australia so just need to see what I can do time wise to get to the US in October. PUMPED!

  • Linda Warner

I LOVE that you are having this event! Love it!!!! I would like to hear about driving traffic, particularly when you are just starting out. I would also like to know how to do a test run to see if your market will buy the product you want to create… BEFORE you create it.

I would also love to know the art of great headlines and video scripts.

For speakers – I’m not into Lewis Howes or Mike Filsaime… I would prefer less hype and instead more actionable content. And a BIG yes to having some women presenters! Marie Forleo is great… Karen Yankovich is stellar with LinkedIn and other social media products. I will think of others and THANK YOU for asking what we would like!
