A/B Test: Did a Screenshot or a Stock Photo Increase Opt-Ins by 112.74%?

Since I began my later 20s, I have noticed that a lot of people my age are trying to live healthier lives. For me, it works best if I take it one step at a time—trying to choose the occasional salad over a slice of pepperoni pizza, for instance.

You could say I model my approach to healthy living on A/B testing—which improves the health of your digital marketing by making one positive change at a time.

Ryan Cruz of JuicingDietWorks.com and TrafficSalad.org is well versed in both nutritious veggies and A/B testing. So naturally, when he wanted to improve a LeadBox™ offering weekly juicing tips, he tried an A/B test.

If you chose Version B you are correct!

Version B, with a 99.01% probability of outperforming Version A, increased opt-ins by 112.74%.
Although we can’t say with total certainty why this change caused the increase, here are a few of my speculations:

  1. The image in Version A could appear to be a blog post that anyone could access on Ryan’s site, which may not seem like enough of an exclusive resource to opt in for.
  2. The image in Version B is a clear, crisp picture related to the topic at hand, which may have made the benefits of opting in more vivid for visitors.
